Mini workshops take the overwhelm out of childbirth education and give you what you need to know in bite-sized, one-topic, deep-dive classes.

The workshops are offered live-virtually so you can have your specific questions answered.  They are interactive, actionable, and are taught by our unique team of childbirth educators.  It’s also fun to meet other expecting parents from all across the nation.

Active Birth Skills 1 - Manual Methods

This is an incredibly helpful workshop for both you and your birth partner to attend.  You’ll learn hands on techniques that you can use during early and active labour.  Use your manual skills to decrease pain, decrease tension, provide support, balance the pelvis and open the pelvis where and when needed. Highly effective!

Active Birth Skills 2 - Movement Magic

Your pelvis is dynamic and designed to move! Birth is a dance between you and your baby – and she is actively involved in the process.  Learn a movement method that will help progress labour, decrease pain, free the pelvis, and facilitate baby’s descent.  Play with balls, bands, and other birth props that keep you mobile.

Active Birth Skills 3 - Power Positions

This mini workshop will help you get comfortable practicing various labor and birth positions.  (This also applies to moms who have an epidural.)  You’ll learn ways to birth using gravity to your advantage, the difference between a fixed vs free pelvis, how your position can re-orient your baby, how to tune into what your body is asking, and how position can empower pushing. Breathing is living.  You’ll leave this mini-workshop understanding how to best oxygenate your baby and your working muscles and organs. Birthing At The Hospital

A labour and delivery nurse will walk you through what a typical hospital birth looks like. This walk through can go a long way in mental preparation for a hospital birth.  Discuss the risks and benefits of hospital birth.  You’ll also consider ways to adapt a hospital room into a less clinical birth environment where you can let go and let birth happen unhindered.
